This is a sequel?

Blink and miss it, St Trinian’s 2: The Legend of Fritton’s Gold is the sequel to the 2007 St Trinian’s. It was certainly not on my to watch list. Hell, I did not even know it existed.

Testament to star-power (guess those marketing people know something after all), David Tennant as a villain and Colin Firth as the love interest of the headmistress (Rupert Everett) got me to rent it.

Campy, strangely fun, if a little fluffy, it was an okay movie. I’m just not certain I am comfortable with the sexualization of the schoolgirls. It did not verge on soft-porn, but the suggestion was there to make it a disconcerting experience.

You did not miss much, really.

About A. Faris

A. Faris spent her formative years at libraries and scribbling odd tales that somehow always end up romantic. She writes in between running after her son.
